Dr. Parul Dua Makkar has been in private practice for over 15 years. She completed undergraduate from University of Central Oklahoma and Dental school from University Of Oklahoma. She has completed her GPR residency at University of Staten Island University Hospital. Prior to moving to NY, she practiced in Calgary, Canada. She brings with her vast knowledge of different aspects of Dentistry and also teaching experience as an Attendee at Jamaica Hospital University Center. Being a mom herself, she understands and acknowledges the challenges at home of getting kids to brush and maintain their oral health. At times, the lack of care is not due to negligence but rather awareness. Her aim is to help educate not only the kids, but the parents as well, on oral care from an early stage in the child's life. Being a general Dentist, she has the ability to see the entire family and provide comprehensive care at one place. She and her team aspire to meet your needs and be able to help achieve your goals. At her Brand new office in Jericho/Hicksville area, all rooms are made to maximize patient comfort. Each room is equipped with TVs so you can watch your favorite shows while getting work done.  She sees kids under 3 for a fun visit where they get to walk around the office and can get a feel to see what to expect at the Dental office.

Dr. Makkar has had the privilege to live in different parts of the world, has traveled quite a bit. Her worldly experience translates into patience, tolerance and compassion towards people's individual needs.
