With more than 20 years of experience in matters involving the needs of the intellectually and physically challenged, the elderly, and their families, Deborah Ball is uniquely positioned to guide her clients through all aspects of the estate planning process.
Deborah is an Executive Board member of the New York State Bar Association’s Elder Law & Special Needs Section. She is the former co-chair of Elder Abuse Committee, and currently serves as the co-vice chair of the Legislation Committee. Deborah is a member of the Guardianship Committee and the Committee on Disabled Adults and the Mental Health Law Committee; The New York State Bar Association Committee on Issues Affecting the Disabled; and the New York State Bar Association Trusts and Estates Section. Deborah served as a member of the Women’s Bar Association Committee on the Elderly and Disabled and is a former member the Board of Directors of the Queens Interagency Council for the Aging.
Deborah is a Trustee for the NYSARC Trust Inc., which was established by NYSARC, Inc., a non-profit organization supporting people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. Under the auspices of NYSARC, Inc., trust services provide a way for individuals with varying disabilities to maintain government benefits, while affording them with the greatest quality of life and independence.
Deborah serves as guardian, guardian ad litem, court evaluator, and attorney for alleged incapacitated persons, as well as representing clients in Article 17a and Article 81 guardian proceedings involving elderly and disabled individuals.
