Early Care begins at 7:30 am. Late Care begins at 3:30 pm and ends at 5:55 pm.
Bus Transportations within the local areas. Lunch and five camp t-shirts are provided by camp.
Choice Periods- Learn a new skill or refine one you already know. Your child will choose from a variety of sports, creative arts and many other activities. Watch what this does for your child's self-esteem, decision making and independence. Every two weeks your child will select new activities. If your child does not like the activity they selected, they can switch onto a different activity with a note from home: Grades 2-4 have two daily choice periods. Grades 5- 7 have three daily choice periods. Campers in Grades 8 & 9 have four choice periods.
Week 8 and 9 are Camp W's special trip weeks. Campers go to different places like Splish Splash, Adventureland, Legoland, Country Fair, Urban Air, Dave & Busters, Laser Bounce, Tiki Action Park and more.
Camp W staff consists of teachers, parents, college students and high school students. Our head counselors are all certified teachers ages 23 and older. All staff are required to have a criminal background check and a sexual offender check. Staff are also required to attend several staff training sessions about safety, camp protocol and workshop on building friendships.
Camp W has some unique activities that you wouldn't assume would be at a day camp. We have Nerf Battlefield, Virtual Reality, Ninja Warrior, Outdoor Remote Control Cars, a Camp Lounge and a Game Room. We also have multiple professional shows every week and special activities such as, Color Run, Minute to Win It, Make Your Own Sundae, Counselor Makeover, Camp W Oscars just to name a few.
Meet the Director Evan Wofsy, owner and director of Camp W Day Camp, is so thrilled to own his own day camp. His dream has always been to be a camp owner and now it’s a reality. Evan has been involved in camping and teaching for more than 20 years. He brings the love and passion to his camp and considers himself to be the biggest kid yet. Camp is a special place for kids and as long as we make it about the kids first it will always be a special place. |
