Kids Can Provide Relief to Long Island Hospitals Through Operation Get Well

The initiative’s website provides kids with get-well card templates daily; the cards will be sent to Northwell Health for distribution among hospitals.

Paula Rosenthal launched Operation Get Well this week to provide get-well-soon cards to patients at local Long Island hospitals who can’t receive visitors at this time due to coronavirus concerns. The website provides you and your kids with several card templates each day, which will be printed after submission and given to Northwell Health for distribution among area hospitals. Choosing and submitting a card is free.

Beyond submitting cards, Rosenthal says, there are a couple more ways to help hospitals. You can raise awareness of Operation Get Well in your school district so more kids and families can get involved, donate 8.5" x 11" copy paper and/or HP304A toner cartridges in CMYK to Rosenthal to help print more cards, or donate to the Northwell COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund. 100 percent of the money given to the fund will go toward coronavirus research. Head to the Operation Get Well Facebook page for new get-well card designs, and updates on the impact of the initiative.

“[Operation Get Well] is a small, but impactful way we can all help others who are suffering alone during this difficult time,” Rosenthal said. “In order for this initiative to be successful, I need your help.”
