ProSwing of Port Chester Adds HitTrax Hitting and Pitching Simulator

ProSwing of Port Chester Adds HitTrax Hitting and Pitching Simulator

ProSwing of Port Chester, an indoor baseball and softball training center, added HitTrax, a hitting and pitching simulator, in May.

HitTrax has analytical and entertainment components and helps ProSwing run hitting leagues, tournaments, and home run derby contests in virtual Major League Baseball stadiums. It can also connect with other HitTrax players across the country for competition. HitTrax's analytical tools help players improve their mechanics by measuring distance, exit velocity, angles, strike zones, and a variety of other actionable metrics to help players and coaches.

ProSwing of Port Chester and of Mount Kisco serve all ages and skill levels. Instruction is offered for children ages 3 and older, and there are programs for college players and adults. Some programs include after-school clinics, mini-slugger sessions, team camps, group and private lessons, coaches’ clinics, parties, and holiday/vacation week programs with an emphasis on pitching, hitting, fielding, and strength and conditioning training. Summer programs are also available for players interested in multi-sport activities or more advanced training.

“ProSwing programs are designed to provide the fundamental skills to excel on the field. Sportsmanship and fun are used to foster a love for the game of baseball,” says Barry Perlow, co-owner of ProSwing of Port Chester.

New York Yankees' third base coach, Joe Espada, led a clinic at ProSwing's Port Chester location in December-January and the staff hopes he'll return this winter for more off-season training, one-on-one coaching, and more.

ProSwing's facilities include an infield, batting tunnels, pitching mounds, a multi-purpose field, and an area dedicated to strength, speed, and agility for endurance-building, injury prevention techniques, boot camps, and personal training.

ProSwing's 4th of July Grand Slam Event will take place June 30 from 3-8pm at its Port Chester location. There will be food, activities, and an auction with all proceeds going to The Puerto Rican International Baseball Experience. ProSwing's goal is to sponsor two youth baseball teams from Puerto Rico. They’ll be hosted by ProSwing and will play in baseball games, train in the facility, and take in a Mets vs. Yankees game.
