Pine Brook Fitness Opens New Facility, The Studios

Last month, Pine Brook Fitness cut the ribbon on its new top-of-the-line facility, The Studios. Joining the New Rochelle Racquet Club and The Rock Club, The Studios rounds-out the fitness needs for the whole family. In addition to its top-of-the-line cardio and strength-training equipment, The Studios offers group exercise classes, small group training, and personal training. Classes include Pilates, yoga, cycling and stadium-style spin, boot camp, kickboxing, and rebounder-trampoline. Many different types of memberships are available.

The kids’ activity center will open in spring 2016 with programs for children young than 3 which will combine child care with a focus on early development and movement, coordination, and general physical education. Parents can join their kids in Mommy & Me style classes, or drop them off in the nursery while they workout.

The existing children’s programming at the racquet and climbing clubs will also expand at The Studios next spring, with emphasis on physical training specifically tailored to the athletic needs of tennis players and rock climbers. Kids can get on the courts or up on the wall as early as 3-years-old. “Climbing is such a natural thing for humans, especially children, who are always climbing the couch, climbing trees, climbing the wall,” says Valerie Ferrara, general manager. “It’s second nature.”

Pine Brook also hosts all types of parties. Tennis and rock climbing birthday parties are particularly popular with children. Parties are typically 2 hours long and held on weekends.  Facilitators take care of everything from the set-up and breakdown, to catering and cake.
