You Can Get Fresh, Hot Doughnuts at the Harlem Krispy Kreme

The newest location of Krispy Kreme in Harlem displays the brands first Hot Light feature in NYC.

Krispy Kreme opened its newest New York City shop in Harlem, on Aug. 4, when it held its grand opening. The shop is also the first location in the city to display the brand’s beloved “Hot Light” feature, which signals to customers when fresh, hot Original Glazed doughnuts are ready. And you won’t have to wait long for fresh Krispy Kreme originals either: The Harlem location is equipped to produce more than 100 dozen doughnuts per hour.

The shop features a full doughnut menu (including Krispy Kreme’s Reese’s Collection, which is only available until Aug. 16!), hot and cold beverages, dozens of its iconic Original Glazed®

doughnuts, as well as many other tasty treats.

As a part of welcoming guests into the new shop, Krispy Kreme will award 10 dozen lucky individuals a celebration ticket within its first week of opening. Winners will be selected at random and receive a ticket worth a dozen free Original Glazed®?doughnuts. The ticket can be redeemed throughout the year.

What’s more? Doughnut delivery is available to residents of the neighborhood, and you can order in advance for a quick pickup of fresh doughnut treats.

Given the current worldwide crisis, social distancing and advanced safety measures will be enforced at all times in the shop. For delivery, mobile, and online orders, doughnuts will be securely sealed and bagged individually, along with instructions for contactless drop-off, including social distancing and safety guidelines. If picking up from the shop, orders will be prebagged at the mobile order area at the front of the shop.

The new Krispy Kreme shop in Harlem is part of the brand’s NYC expansion plan. In January, the brand pledged to open six additional stores this year. So far, new Krispy Kreme shops have opened in Midtown, the Financial District, and in the Bronx. Two more are schedule to open in 2020, including one in the Upper West Side and a giant, 45,000 square-foot flagship in Times Square, which will showcase how the treats are made, from the mixing of raw ingredients to the literal waterfall of glaze that makes Krispy Kreme doughnuts the shiny, sweet treats craved by so many. The Times Square location was originally supposed to open in May, but it’s been delayed. The Penn Station location, which was the only shop in New York City since 2009, reopened in January after being remodeled earlier that month. The new Harlem location is employing 45 newly hired team members and managers.

The Harlem Krispy Kreme is situated in a historic community building built in 1910, right in the heart of the neighborhood and a block away from the Apollo Theater. In 1953, the site served as a famous saloon and jazz club called The Baby Grand, which saw some of Harlem’s most iconic musicians.

Krispy Kreme in Harlem is located at 319 W. 125 St. It’s open Sunday-Thursday, 7am-10pm, and Friday-Saturday, 7am-11pm.
