It’s officially the season for ice-skating in Westchester County! And there are plenty of rinks in Westchester and in nearby Rockland and Fairfield counties offering public skating sessions to choose from. So, we've rounded up the best indoor and outdoor ice-skating rinks in Westchester County, Fairfield County, CT, and Rockland County to make it easy for you to plan your outing. Cross County Shopping Center is bringing back the popular pop-up ice skating rink. The pop-up rink is not made of real ice, it is a synthetic floor which glides slower than real ice making it perfect for first time and young skaters. Plus, it will host character skates throughout the season.

Offers year-round skating lessons for all levels and ages, weekly public skating, and figure skating and hockey sessions. Plus, the rink offers freestyle sessions for USFS members and Stick Time for competitive and recreational hockey players.

5. Murray’s Skating Center

Murray’s Skating Center has been open since 1960. It offers public skating and a wide range of programs for children and adults.

7. Westchester Skating Academy

If you want to go ice-skating in Fairfield County, you’re in good company! This Connecticut ice-skating rink is the home of the Danbury Hat Tricks of the Federal Hockey League Eastern Division. Newly renovated, the rink offers public skating, lessons, leagues, and more. Plus, a new café and bar serves craft beer, cocktails, and coffee.

Go ice-skating at this mainstay rink, founded in 1973. Renovated in 2016, the rink offers public skating and lessons. After building up an appetite from skating, stop by the on-site Burgers and Pies restaurant, which offers pizza, burgers, and other items available for eat in or take out.

Public skating and lessons are available. Plus, the rink offers a skating school, a youth hockey league, and rink rentals.

This year-round ice-skating rink in Fairfield County offers public skating, birthday and group skating parties, figure skating, and lessons. Have your sticks and pucks ready, as the rink is also home to a double-decker NHL ice rink and offers a full range of hockey programs. And when you’re done skating, your family can play mini golf, laser tag, go bowling, and more at this facility.

This city-owned rink offers public skating, lessons in skating and hockey, a pro shop and snack bar. It’s also the official practice facility for the Bridgeport Islanders, the AHL affiliate of the New York Islanders.

The seasonal ice rink is located at the Redding Community Center Parking lot (to the right as you pull into the RCC). The rink is provided for the enjoyment of Redding residents and their guests.
