Six Flags Great Adventure Announces Summer Event Lineup

Looking for some fun day-cation ideas this summer? If so, consider a trip to Six Flags Great Adventure, which has an exciting series of events lined up for families to enjoy throughout the season. 

The Jackson, NJ, theme park has a robust summer event lineup planned on several weekends throughout the summer, kicking off Saturday, June 18, and running through Aug. 14. From fireworks shows to wrestling events slam-packed with fun, there's something for everyone in the family to enjoy!

Six Flags Great Adventure Summer Events

Get out your calendar and save the dates for these upcoming events at Great Adventure, all free with admission:

• Six Flags Slamfest • June 18: Meet wrestling superstars Malakai Black, Sammy Guevara, Tay Conti, Mick Foley, NZO, Erick Rowan, Mickie James, Matt Taven, Eddie Kingston and many more when Northeast Wrestling presents Six Flags Slam Fest in the park's Movietown Arena. The event features a meet-and-greet autograph session from 1:30-4:30pm, followed by a full-card wrestling event at 5pm.
• Father' Day Weekend • June 18-19: Throughout the weekend, families can celebrate dad while challenging thrilling coasters and enjoying yummy eats and craft beers. 
• Coca-Cola July 4 Fest • July 2-4: Fireworks displays will run nightly, July 2-4, at 9pm.
• Summer Vibes Festival • July 16-Aug. 14: This new summer festival will feature specialty eats, beat-the-heat beverages, live entertainment and, as Six Flags puts it, “colorful curiosities for truly Instagrammable moments.” 

In addition to the summer events, the park announced earlier this year a whole bunch of cool features at the park. Improvements and new features include increased capacity and streamlined operations in rides, food service, and admissions; new theming and reintroduction of Medusa for daredevils and Barnstormer for junior thrill seekers; aesthetic and comfort enhancements in all parks; the debut of popular food brands, new dining options and more guest amenities.
