Developmental Steps Adds Free Sports Clinics and Videos for Kids

Developmental Steps, LLC has added free Sports Clinics and online videos, which are offered through the pediatric physical therapy center's Mount Kisco and Port Chester locations.

Developmental Steps serves children of all abilities from infancy to age 18. The pediatric physical therapy center can aid children with conditions ranging from torticollis to sports injuries and more.

Developmental Step's free Sports Clinics launched in early June and are designed to help parents aid their 3 to 5-year-old child's development in a sport he or she is interested in. Parents should come with their child to gain insightful knowledge on how to help their child improve strength, balance training, and coordination with tips to implement at home.

The pediatric physical therapy center's videos were released on YouTube in early April and can be used to help children set a foundation for any sport they may choose.

Developmental Steps started offering tummy time classes in fall 2016 at its Mount Kisco and Port Chester locations. Tummy time class helps babies develop weight-baring muscles in their hands, upper core, and legs. The classes help parents learn about infant development and the importance of tummy time.

“We strive to give people independence be it [through the] tummy time class, or be it the Sports Clinic class, or [nurturing] the independence of a child with cerebral palsy. We offer families a full circle of being able to help them from babies to 18-year-olds,” says owner Joe Kiefer.
